Each
year The Oyster Gala is held as a kickoff to the Oyster Festival
and as a fund raiser for the National Oyster Cook-off. This year
we are pleased to announce the Oyster Gala will be held at The
Tides Restaurant and Oyster Bar on October 2, 2005 at 6:00 p.m.
The menu put together by Chef Ahmed and Mattre’d
Arthur Ehrlich is titled “Oyster Festival Feast with Wine Pairings”. As the name
implies, a different wine is offered for each of the five courses. The cost is
$50.00 per person and is partially tax deductible. Our goal is to serve 100
guests. The Tides Restaurant has also agreed to a Level III sponsorship of this
year’s Oyster Festival. So please, come out and enjoy, while supporting this
worthwhile event. The menu includes: Oysters wrapped in smoked salmon, Oyster
Chowder, Oyster Caesar Salad, Oyster Carpetbagger Steak, and Dark Chocolate
Mousse Martini. A special wine will be served with each course.
